Darkness
ˈdɑːknəs
noun
1. the partial or total absence of light.
2. wickedness or evil.
So these two are the very first things I did think for this word, yeah I’m just doing a shopping list of all-time faves.
Anyway most comic books are complete rubbish these days but back when one of the best director ever Christopher Nolan plus starred great actors like Christian Bale and Heath Ledger for the fight of good vs evil. Nothing comes close in superhero movies to The Dark Knight trilogy. Above is jail house interview room shown down between Batman and Joker.

by Francis Bacon, 1953, oil on canvas.
Painter or artist that comes to mind as just got to be Francis Bacon, If you have no idea what I’m talking you’ll have do your own research about him but that just above painting fits perfect into both the dictionary definition, I think!
Now on will songs which could like yesterday’s post be almost endless but I’m only picking five yet again, one from each decade from seventies on wards to a few years ago. Here’s want tracks I did chose:
Heart Of Darkness by Pere Ubu released as a 70’s 7″ single.
In My Darkest Hour by Megadeth from 80’s album So Far, So Good… So What.
I See A Darkness by Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy which was the title track from his very late 90’s album.
Darker With The Day by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, the final track on early 2000’s album called No More Shall We Part.
Finally ending these happy go lucky five songs with Dark Paradise by Lana Del Rey from her Born To Die album.
This is now three of these posts in a row but still haven’t caught up but it’s thanks to Linda yet again for JustJotJan and “Darkness” is proudly brought to by Kerry!
I’ve just got to ask for anyone’s and everyone’s “Darkness” song/s, please?
Cheers 🙂
One of the songs that came to my mind was Nick Cave’s ‘Slowly goes the night’. One of my (many) favorites, of his songs 🙂
