Playlist: Where I Was In… 1985?

Next please! So this is two in a row of the very same Where I Was In… thingy but a different year, off course. Does it matter at all? I guessing not, it’s my blog or if you do really want something else just tell me OK? But I thinking I might just do a few of these type of posts. I think the plan, if you can call it that? Is to do all the years dating back to somewhere around my B’day because that seems to be the music I known the best or the better. Today for 80’s I’ve got just over thirty tracks but say for the 90’s I might stick to fifty like the other day because I known that even better and that was real easy plus so much fun. For say 1985, today was a little bit harder but I think I’ve got my own ultimate playlist for the year.

Still was fun really. It’s half Aussie and half the rest of the world in 32 songs: a couple of Kiwi acts, one German, one Jamaica, one Irish and then three English and the rest are Americas. Is that fair? I don’t know but that’s what I’ve come up with here. A lot of it’s punk or post-punk, just warning you because I’m what the young hipsters would call a dirty old punk or something like that? Tracks number two to seven are all from the Tales Of the Aussie Underground Vol. 1 & 2 now delete comp albums which I was planning to do a post on each song at some stage but all are so great I couldn’t help but not included them here. Aussie music was getting stronger and stronger, even if it was mostly on indie scene. Some big names were on the rise.

I’m going to dot points now today just to made it clear it’s not rating them in anyway. Hopefully it’s got a good flow? (Edit: 5/4/20) Now it’s 58 tracks with…
