Is it too soon for the next year playlist now? For this Monday almost night? Oh well, here it is already! Maybe I’m having too much fun making these playlists and should take my time or something but I’m not at all! It was only two posts last week and three for the first week when I started doing this yearly list so in order it’s 1995, 1985, 2000, 1971, 1994 and now 1984, so far. I’m already adding to the first couple of those lists even more songs, I was just doing to do 30 tracks per year and then 50 for each of the 1990’s years but why limit yourself?
For 1984 I’ve got about half Aussies and then the rest of the world which seems to be mainly from the U.K. and U.S. but Sade did you know was born in Nigeria? But is now nationality: British/Nigerian. All these songs are originals by the acts minus the artist Rose Royce did that Madonna song back 1978 plus was written by Miles Gregory and the Ry Cooder track and well, the whole soundtrack album loosely based around Blind Willie Johnson’s old blues song called Dark Was The Night and Cold Was The Ground.
My songs for the year 1984 should be as follows (Edit: 5/12/19) now 60 songs:
- Beasts Of Bourbon – Drop Out

Yeah, yeah I know! This is coming from the guy with Zen Arcade album cover artwork as his profile pic or avatar or whatever call it?
I’m really just starting off with just 30 songs for each year and because my 1985 playlist did have almost all those bands on I was going for some other stuff this time but this morning I’ve added 15 more songs plus more to come most likely! But is that better?
Anyway are you enjoying these lists? So far? Or what?
