  1. Hi William,
Another great playlist, I’m enjoying it here in Athens.

You’re back in my era now, when I was at high school, so I know a lot of these, but at the time I was only listening to Aladdin Sane, The Great Gig In The Sky, Bennie And The Jets, Over The Hills And Far Away, Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door, Stuck In The Middle With You, and Nutbush City Limits in about that order. A lot of the others I found later on – I had the Marley Burnin’ album and Small Axe was always a pleasure; and Lou Reed’s Berlin became a real favourite.

My playlist at the time included lots of sixties stuff I was catching up on, as well as new stuff from bands like Deep Purple, Uriah Heep, Black Sabbath and Slade, as well as folkier stuff like Hot August Night by Neil Diamond (#1 album in Australia in 1973), Cat Stevens, CSNY, Bette Midler (The Divine Miss M) and Elton John.

    Cheers, Peter
