Hi William.
Another great list, full of little-known gems and classics. I’m glad you included Hendrix’s version of All Along The Watchtower, which is my favourite song of the 60s! And Revolution is a Beatles fav too.
The Gainsbourg and Bardot version of Bonnie and Clyde, I didn’t know – hilariously stylish. I used to have several Iron Butterfly albums in the 70s and listened to the long version of In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida many times. Never heard the Honey Ltd version of Louie Louie – interesting but I can see why they never got too far.
The only additions I could suggest would be Stoned Soul Picnic by Laura Nyro or say Suzanne off Leonard Cohen’s first album or Janis Joplin’s Summertime (although these are a bit obvious for your list) .
Goodnight and good luck.
Peter
