Some great songs here William. A lot more familiar songs than from some of the other years. Gloria is my favourite, but there are so many good ones.
Your selections of French pop songs is very interesting. One I’ve been hearing lately from 1964 is Brigitte Bardot’s Moi Je Joue https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJ2mGqL1HEk which I heard as the theme song for a Greek TV comedy series, and which I can’t get out of my head now.
The English translation of the song is:
https://lyricstranslate.com/en/Moi-je-joue-Me-I-play.html#ixzz5IKZnYbcZ
Me I play ,
Me I play cheek-to-cheek
I want to play taking aim at you
But you , do you want it ?
From all my heart
I want to win at this heart-to-heart
You know my game by heart
So defend yourself
But the French sounds better.
Cheers. P
