1983 MTV Era Music Is the Soundtrack of Outcasts Being Bullied By Jocks by Mark Kozelek (Live):
The Opener by Donny McCaslin featuring Sun Kil Moon:
So Mark’s back at it, releasing even more new songs this week. Two brand new tracks one played live in Philadelphia and another one on Donny McCaslin new album. Donny also has just worked with Mark and drummer Jim White another new album simply entitled Mark Kozelek with Donny McCaslin and Jim White, the release date is March 1, 2019. Donny McCaslin’s upcoming album is called Blow and is out on October 5, next month. Donny McCaslin was the bandleader on David Bowie’s final album Blackstar and do I need to fill you in on who Mark Kozelek/Sun Kil Moon is?
OK, you got three bonus tracks today for looking at my blog post and because Kozelek sing about a few things in the 1983 MTV track including a his own music naming the Yellow Kitchen, I would call that an EP with Sean Yeaton who’s bassist of Parquet Courts band Mark sung he’s like Frank Zappa. My fave song from Yellow Kitchen is…
I’m Still in Love with You by Mark Kozelek and Sean Yeaton:
In the 1983 MTV song Mark also explain why he wrote the highly funny but very controversial track that got blown up by online music sites. War On Drugs: Suck My Cock song but what most people don’t know after Mark was just joked about the song at that time but War On Drugs leader Adam Granducie said would like/love to hear the that song which was a joke too but Mark being Mark did just write it anyway, in the meantime it was all hyped up online by everyone as some kind-of flight or beef.
War On Drugs: Suck My Cock by Sun Kil Moon:
So just one more of his track now from the Jesu/Sun Kil Moon collaborative album 30 Seconds to the Decline Of Planet Earth with Twenty Something song about up and coming Philadelphia author Johnny Saint-Lethal and I’ll let the track tell all about him, his novel and more.
Twenty Something by Jesu/Sun Kil Moon:
Mark sung his own list of outsides too is pretty great too: Mark E. Smith, Charles Bukowski, John Kennedy Toole, Friedrich Nietzsche etc. Also singing about Kurt Vile too but I’ve not going included the tracks he name dropped as faves he like. No Dire Straits or any 80’s MTV rock-pop songs too!
Anyway I just had the blog posts these new tracks because I’ve been enjoying this week so just sharing them here for anyone else who wants a listen? Hope you do enjoy them?

Cheers 🙂
