If you were thinking it got a bit odd in yesterday’s post? Well, you haven’t yet seen today’s! I don’t what the hell NME newspaper/magazine was thinking back in the early 80’s but I guess it’s kind-of cool. But my understanding of a consumer is stuff your buy, right? Well, Blixa is just asked about whole lot of stuff you can’t! So I’ve been a bit creative with his answers or maybe I just wanted to listen to some EN today, well you can too. Enjoy!

DREAMS AND NIGHTMARES:
Fall dreams and flying dreams
Standing on the surface of the sun
MARTYRS: Hildegard von Bingen, Ulrike Meinhof

In 1983 Einstürzende Neubauten had only been together for three/four years with 81’s Kollaps album and then Zeichnungen Des Patienten O.T. / Drawings Of O.T. album in 1983 plus also the same year Blixa played on The Birthday Party’s final song Mutiny In Heaven and then off course joined The Bad Seeds with Nick Cave in 1984. So above all the tracks are NOT from that time period, well minus one song. I hope you enjoyed them, if you pressed play?
Cheers 🙂
hi, after a while.
Neubauten in Australia? Surprise, surprise. I like them since 1981, when I saw “Aufrecht gehen” on TV. Its a track from “kalte Sterne”, a Sampler with early material, before “Kollaps”.
My favorite Albums of EN are “Halber Mensch” und “Haus der Lüge” because its a kind of Stagnation-Soundtrack in the late 80s.
When the wall came down in Berlin 89 I went to Ku-damm Westberlin and bought “Haus der Lüge”. When I listened for the first time to that stuff it was kind of prophetic.
The Album was from spring89 and in the autum everything he sang was real.

Oh yeah, it might seem odd but I’ve been a fan since i was a teenage when i seen a couple of video clips on late night TV, it was ZNS and Armenia film in Japan from that movie. I’ve pretty much got all their albums and might just agree with you Halber Mensch is my fave of the early stuff!
I did recently wrote about finally seeing EN a few years back, they did come back earlier this year but only played in Hobart of all the places in Australia but i couldn’t get to that one 😦 anyway here’s that post you might enjoy? https://a1000mistakes.wordpress.com/2018/11/21/live-gigs-atps-ill-be-your-mirror-2013-melbourne-curated-by-atp-the-drones-altona-sunday-part-two/
