Hiding Songs: Ha by HTRK

Can I be out of line
Сan we get back together?
You drink I’ll pour the wine
Сan we get back together?
Your girlfriend’s prettier than mine
Can we get back together?
I’ll have you home by nine or whatever
Can we get back together?
Ha ha ha ha ha
Ha ha ha ha ha
Can I be out of line
Сan we get back together?
You drink I’ll pour the wine
Сan we get back together?
Your girlfriend’s prettier than mine
Can we get back together?
It’s closed, just my mind
Can we get back together?
Ha ha ha ha ha
Ha ha ha ha ha
Ha ha ha ha ha
Can I be out of line
Сan we get back together?
You drink I’ll pour the wine
Сan we get back together?
Your girlfriend’s prettier than mine
Can we get back together?
I’ll have you home by nine or whatever
Can we get back together?
Ha ha ha ha ha
Ha ha ha ha ha
If you stay
I’ll make you a star

So the third hiding songs or just one track with it’s lyric above this year is by HTRK, pronounced Hate Rock. Ha is the opening track on their debut album entitled Marry Me Tonight released in early 2009 but this track an a live recording version of Panties on the b-side was released the year before in 2008. The recording process didn’t seem to take forever back then but what I understand it was recorded over just eight days in February 2006. I have no idea why three years when by until it was released? It’s the one and really only album with the original HTRK three piece line-up with Jonnine Standish, Sean Stewart and Nigel Yang. Stewart passed away by his own hand in March 2010. The albums’ co-producer and ex-The Birthday Party member Rowland S. Howard plays his guitar on this song and then Standish sung duet entitled (I Know) A Girl Called Jonny on Howard’s final solo album Pop Crimes also from 2009 which Stewart also played bass guitar on that song too. BTW Howard also die in 2009 on 30th of December from liver cancer. All I’ll say to finish off another very short post, the song just floors me every time I listen to it, it’s unbelievable to me!

The Ha 12″ vinyl front cover!

Finishing today’s blog post with a totally random clip of another one of my fave singer-songwriters who’s really got nothing to do with HTRK but this how my head works! Basically it’s just Mark Kozelek laughing from a tour doco from few year back now, enjoy!

Cheers 🙂

Well, I'm dyslexic so writing about something I love: Music, might help but it's most likely just full of mistakes. That title is also lyrics from The Drones song called I Don't Want To Change. Oh, my name is William and thanks for having a look.
