Great Art: Georgia O’Keeffe’s Animal Skull Paintings

OK, let’s do another artist I’ve not covered yet but you might know? She is a pretty big name of 20th century art but I’m going focus on my fave paintings first! The less-well known animal skulls by O’Keeffe. The four paintings below are from 1932 to 1937 and like Max Beckmann paintings I did post a week or so ago these ones of O’Keeffe would going into my fave early 20th century or even 1930’s paintings easy but the 1937 at the very end would be my fave, if I had to pick just one? I made it the featured image today, I guess!

Georgia O’Keeffe was born on November 15, 1887 and died on March 6, 1986 and was an America, here’s Wikipedia link to tell you more and she does have her own website which I’m remembering to link here today too! All p’s below again are oil on canvas and off course, I will be blog her art again soon!

Let’s just go with another fave female singer-songwriter who did miss out on my top 30 the other day but do love them, OK? Some reason, I’m thinking Lana Del Rey’s High by the Beach of her 2015 Honeymoon album which is my fave by her and it would be a perfect song to go with these artworks:

Cheers 🙂
