Well, I’m changing things up already on the third letter of the alphabet because off course, it was going to be Nick Cave but I do bang on and on about him way too much on my blog anyway. So changing gender this time with picking letter “C” female artist is now Jen Cloher but then I figuring I might as well go with Australia’s powerhouse muso couple and thrown in Courtney Barnett too. That’s first name “C” and last name “C” together!
It’s five letter “C” songs but couple opening that are kind-of very close but not quite, making it seven today:
Better Off Dancing by Jen Cloher & The Endless Sea (2006) from debut album Dead Wood Falls which I did get to see her touring when it came out. Jen and her band was the support act but how great they’re? I’ve forget the headlining bloke name now:
Depreston by Courtney Barnett (2015) from her debut album Sometimes I Sit And Think And Sometimes I Just Sit and also got to see her on this tour and she was the headliner:
The Cat by Ben Salter (2011) is the opening and title track from Ben’s debut solo album, before this he played in something like about half a dozen Aussie band before going solo:
Captain Stupido by Thundercat (2017) is from his album entitled Drunk and might not the best intro, if you’ve never heard of him before? Then again it might a pretty prefect intro:
Cross Bone Style by Cat Power (1998) is from her Moon Pix album and yeah, a cat theme seem to have appeared without even trying so sorry about that:
Color Television by Eddy Current Suppression Ring (2008) is from their album called Primary Colours, this not an official video clip but a fan made one but very cool:
Chinatown Style by HTRK (2014) got to be fave track from the album Psychic 9-5 Club album:
A couple of fave “C” books are:
The Castle by Franz Kafka (1926) out of the three novels he did in his lifetime I’m naming this one as my fave today but I’ve bang on about how much I love all his stuff before a lot on my blog.
Catch-22 by Joseph Heller (1961) I don’t have to tell you how wicked great cool this book is because everyone knows that by now? I’ve been told George Clooney turned into a movie or something? No idea if it’s any good?
Just naming fave three letter “C” films:
Candy (2006) Director: Neil Armfield, Stars: Heath Ledger, Abbie Cornish. Song to the Siren as performed by Tim Buckley was in it:
Chopper (2000) Director: Andrew Dominik Stars: Eric Bana, Vince Colosimo. Stuck on You as performed by Rose Tattoo was in it:
The City Of Lost Children (1995) Directors: Marc Caro & Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Stars: Ron Perlman, Daniel Emilfork, Judith Vittet. Who Will Take Your Dreams Away by Marianne Faithfull was in it:
Well, that’s only ten songs because I’m trying to make it a little shorter so I think it’s better this time, right? Or wrong?

Wanna say something about the letter “C” now?
Cheers 🙂

Some interesting cuts. I can see me spending time with some of them. Familiar with the films but haven’t seen them. I’ve had ‘Lost Children’ on the list for a long time but haven’t pulled the trigger. TB is always a nice treat.
