A to Z: G is for…

Changing back to fave band member of big huge act! The second bass player to feature in my A -Z thingo! She yet another given name Kim and surname Gordon, off course formerly of Sonic Youth. I did blogged about a little while ago what could be the closest the my dream festival line-up which was back in the 90’s, linked here if you wanna look? If you’ve not heard the news yet? Her debut solo entitled No Home Record is coming in October this year but a couple of years ago she did released song called Murdered Out which is track-listed on that up-coming album:

I think, my most fave KG Sonic Youth sung song would The Sprawl from album Daydream Nation of 1988:

Both those don’t start with the letter “G” but here are five cool songs that do…

Glenn McGrath by West Thebarton Brothel Party (2015) now known as West Thebarton:

Garage Liddiard by King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard (2012):

Greylands by Lost Animal (2011):

Gasoline Man by The Young Gods (1992):

Gigantic by Pixies (1988):

Very quickly three letter “G” books…

Girl In A Band by Kim Gordon (2015)

Glamorama by Bret Easton Ellis (1998)

Guantanamo: My Journey by David Hicks (2010)

Also very quickly three letter “G” films…

The Girlfriend Experience (2009) director: Steven Soderbergh, stars: Sasha Grey

Ghost Dog (1999) director: Jim Jarmusch, stars: Forest Whitaker

Ghosts… of the Civil Dead (1988) director: John Hillcoat, stars: David Field

That’s it! Hope someone else out there enjoyed this stuff?

  1. The first assoziation on G in Rock History is Gary Glitter or the Glitterband (without him) : Angleface, I love-you love, lets get together again… some of the first music-drugs I take… 100 years ago.
