Back to back NC posts yet again! I’ve NOT rated them in a countdown or numbered but here’s what I’ve done in order: breaking in down into four main groups but all are in chronological order!
Opening tracks are the well-known singles/video clips but my personal fave of these tracks into, I guess you could call it a top ten? Explaining a little more: some of the hits I’ve heard so much I’m not that interested anymore, maybe only when played live or while playing the full albums in full I go out of my way to listen to them again but these ones never seem to lose their power! All videos are played a lot on Bad Seeds Teevee on YouTube too so I’m watching/listening to them there as well now. Maybe, this playlist suggestions to somehow add more less well-known stuff to Bad Seeds Teevee, not that they’re going to see this! So does anyone need a 100 songs playlist by me with something Bad Seeds Teevee? Most likely NOT but here it is! Anyway I put these songs first because all/most/some are only interested in the biggest hits!
Next then are maybe the less well known, if you want to dig a little deeper but don’t know where to start, this might help or might not? I’m grouping next Nick Cave & Warren Ellis soundtracks tracks I enjoy the very most next because this is incredibly important to the albums right now but I understand some might not want to sitting thought listening to now a huge pile of soundtrack/score music and it’s kind-of the totally opposite to the big hit singles or video clips, which seems to be another top ten of my picks of these movie tracks.
Then going back to the start with The Boys Next Door and The Birthday Party with the very beginning with somehow I’ve made yet another top ten for them. Finally onto Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds album tracks or non-singles but some more video clips or well known tracks have slipped in, also some songs other projects including the well-loved Grinderman, soundtracks, solo, B-sides or rare songs and all included in the largest part of this playlist with 70 tracks right to the end. Zero cover version songs have even been included here too. All are the studio recordings and none are live versions. Does all that make sense?
All this is my own personal taste, so sorry if I’ve missed your own fave song of his below! Hopefully could help non-fans to get into his stuff or totally scaring them away? Because now all this added up to 100 tracks! This playlist was insipid by Mojo magazine NC top 50 songs recently published in England, linked here but hasn’t arrived here yet! I’ve done this kind-of thing before on my blog, it was the first year I was doing this with top 50 and is still somewhere here in all the piles of posts? Also did a top ten last year but I think, a top 100 is much better, what do you think? You might ask, are you mad? You’ve got 100 fave tracks? Yeah!

Wow. I wish I had access to some of these very early songs that you list here. I do have the soundtracks stuff but I almost never listen to them, for whatever reason. But early Birthday Party and Boys Next Store is hard for me to find over here. But now I have some actual titles to hunt for!! Thanks for this List!!😄

Well, some pretty hard to find over here too and is amazing it’s not been reissued better! just looking right now some stuff that was reissued in the 2000’s by a couple of indie Aussie labels.
The VA called Lethal Weapons, it’s the comp album with the early three Boy Next Door recordings official released in the 70’s with the including the well-known Boots were These Boots Are Made For Walking and couple more, one song I’ve list above. Sorry, i don’t know where you can just download the songs or how to just send/email you the mp3s or something but i still would say those CDs would be a good way to get those tracks! Off course, both included a huge pile of Aussie artists or acts but I’ve notices sometime you’ve been interested in that when i blog about that! Ordering anything online is a nightmare at the moment and is going take forever to get to you, just as it takes to get to me i guess?
The Birthday Party is different again unless you just want go to iTunes, i been told most of it’s on that but i don’t use it so i don’t really know but you might want the albums to hold in your hands? The discogs website is sometime much better to find hard to find stuff, or I’ve found it way better than ebay or amazon etc.
