Top 10 Tracks: The 2000’s list

So this Friday morning post is the start to the finish what kicked-off a couple months ago! If you remember? I did do blog posts about my all-time favorite songs from each of the last four decades of the 20th century, yeah so you might remember that? Well, here’s the first couple decades of 21st century which should be complete tomorrow! Let’s just get on with the music because does anyone read my silly intros?

Ha by HTRK from Marry Me Tonight of 2009:

The Golden Age Of Bloodshed by Rowland S. Howard from Pop Crimes of 2009:

I Don’t Ever Want To Change by The Drones from Gala Mill of 2005:

Colour Television by Eddy Current Suppression Ring from Primary Colours of 2008:

Sabrina by Einstürzende Neubauten from Silence Is Sexy of 2000:

Pyramid Song by Radiohead from Amnesiac of 2001:

Dial: Revenge by Mogwai featuring Gruff Rhys from Rock Action of 2001:

Nono/Yoyo by Standish/Carlyon from Deleted Scenes of 2008:

Some Summers They Drop Like Flys by Dirty Three from Whatever You Love, You Are of 2000:

Abattoir Blues by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds from Abattoir Blues / The Lyre of Orpheus of 2004:

So that’s just yet more of my usual suspects I’ve blogged about a lot before to say the least but those really are the best in this time frame, well in my opinion! Above I’ll got seven Aussie artists, one German, one English and one Scottish which is sung in Welsh in this timeline. Remember it’s only one song per artist rule tooo but musos Mick Harvey plays on Bad Seeds and Rowland S. Howard tracks, Warren Ellis plays also on same Bad Seeds plus Dirty Three but Blixa Bargeld had leaved The Bad Seeds by that time so he’s only on Einstürzende Neubauten song this time around. NC&TBS have been on the last couple of TTT in 80’s and 90’s, Dirty Three was also in the 90’s post, Rowland S. Howard was songwriter of The Boys Next Door’s track way back in the 70’s and he’s back again plus RSH was co-producer and guest guitarist on that HTRK’s album. I think, that’s all who’s re-appeared? Everyone else is popping up the very first time in these decade TTT posts. NOT to give it away today but you’re going to see/hear some again tomorrow for 2010’s TTT post, you know?

Please do share yours, would love to know your own top ten fave songs of 2000’s?

End note: also whoever you are, you could remember? The first four of these posts the very first time around in July, I used the totally dumbass idea of presidents of USA as my feature images but since then I’ve deleted all those pics and changed them to something much better! Seems to be all kind-of horror movies which all seems to be from America but will have to say the late 90’s Asian original was better that the USA remake but as you can see today, I still have…

Naomi Watts as Rachel in The Ring of 2002!

Cheers! 🙂
