OK, that’s my pile of songs in different languages for today’s 30 day thingo! Starting and finishing or making a sandwich with Aussie Aboriginal acts, opening with WB from outback settlement of Papunya, Northern Territory which is 240km northwest of Alice Springs and is sung in Luritja which was the very first rock song recorded/released in an Aboriginal language in Australia. Closing with GGY from Elcho Island in Arnhem Land also in NT but it’s 500 km from Darwin which he sung in Yolŋu languages. Around the world is the middle selection after Warumpi Band is Brazil metal band Sepultura which is sung in Portuguese, Tinariwen is from the Sahara Desert region of northern Mali, then we’re got Greek with Spivak, then French with Lizzy which that album was recorded in South Africa, The Young Gods are Swiss and then we are off to Syria with Souleyman. That’s your world trip in a day/blog post, hope you enjoyed it?

Cheers! 🙂
