Right, who need a stack load of 90’s songs for your mid-week? Today and the next couple of days I’m going to be posting all the missing years from mid to late ninety’s in these playlist style posts! Now, I was saving them and going to speared them out but they’re ready so why not just post them? I can’t think of any reasons, not too?
It seems I can come up with more and more 90’s songs really very, very easy! You know my early 90’s playlists for 1993 and 1992 are now up to 75 tracks plus the 1988 one is 45 tracks too? Some great songs that didn’t make the first cut but some that should have too!
Now I know I’ve broken my one song per act rule with Nick Cave having three songs in the first 50 tracks, Tricky gets two songs but how I justify these are they’re some of my very faves and they’re on different albums. So busy years in recording studios for them but I just can’t cut them down. Like say Tricky two albums that year would be my faves of mine, everyone bangs on and on about Maxinquaye of the perivous year but I would say both Nearly God and Pre-Millennium Tension were or could be his greatest. Jarvis Cocker is on two too but I could have picked yet another Cave songs because the Barry Adamson album featured both Cocker and Cave as guests. Dirty Three got two again but once again, the same thing again. So have added five more songs to the 50 to combat these doubles. It’s a great year for indie rock but a few of other styles slip in too, enjoy!
