Song of the Day: Alive by Pearl Jam

So it’s only been a couple of days since my last SOTD post, bloody amazing!

So this could be the biggest hit song I’ve featured in my little SOTD posts and I think, just taking a wild guess every single person out there will know this track, right? Some of the time do, readers/listeners to my blog, say what/who the hell is he going on about today? But I don’t need to explain who Pearl Jam are? This was the leading single from the debut album entitled Ten of 1991, are the basic facts! Alive does have a wicked opening riff with it’s the black and white so very grunge stage diving, crowd surfing live footage video clip, do I even need to describe it? I think, I do enjoy just the album tracks a little more than the huge hit singles now, if you wanna know? But the whole album is totally great cool but once again, you don’t need me to tell you that too? Am I going to get way more likes below, maybe more comments or views that normal because I’ve picked a very well-known song?

Alive lyrics are:

Son, she said
Have I got a little story for you
What you thought was your daddy
Was nothin’ but a
While you were sittin’
Home alone at age thirteen
Your real daddy was dyin’
Sorry you didn’t see him
But I’m glad we talked
Oh, I, oh, I’m still alive
Hey, I, oh, I’m still alive
Hey, I, oh, I’m still alive, hey, oh
While she walks slowly
Across a young man’s room
She said I’m ready, for you
Why I can’t remember anything
To this very day
‘Cept the look, the look
Oh, you know where
Now I can’t see, I just stare
I, I’m still alive
Hey, I, oh, I’m still alive
Hey, I, oh, I’m still alive
Hey, I, oh, I’m still alive, yeah
Is something wrong?
She said
Of course there is
You’re still alive
She said
Oh, do I deserve to be?
Is that the question?
And if so, if so
Who answers?
Who answers?
I, oh, I’m still alive
Hey, I, oh, I’m still alive
Hey, I, oh, I’m still alive
Hey, I
Oh, I’m still alive
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Oh, yeah oh, ooh oh, yeah, oh
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

PJ in the early years!

Cheers! 🙂
