Playlist: Yearly 1998 list

So here’s a huge playlist for your Monday morning and even more 90’s from me, to you! If you need something to listen today or this week sometime? So for revisiting these yearly playlist, I might just go backwards from my last one which was 1999 so that means this year, right? Seems it’s be a month since the last one because it’s a bit of messing around, you know?

The re-jugging is all Aussie tracks at the very start or opening songs going up to number 50, again like last time. Then a few tracks New Zealand acts so that’s up to number 54 and moving into everything else from oversea, now adding up to the grand total of 120. Got to point out Cat Power’s Moon Pix album was recorded in Australia with the Dirty Three’s Jim White and Mick Turner playing on that album which is at number 55. I think, that would be my pick as best album of 1998, if you wanna know? My fave Aussie album by Aussie act would have to be The Paradise Motel’s Flight Paths an under-rated gem so check out Derwent River Star three song in. Most likely still could have missed stuff but worth to note, I’ve NOT yet done the 1001 albums book’s 1998 so looks like some are already included but just looking quickly I’ve missed some very biggies but I’ll save them for when I get back to it, OK? Like last month’s post of yearly playlist, linked here. It’s a movie image to end on and this time the best or well, my own favorite film would have be a film called Pi. The director was Darren Aronofsky who never top this one for me, even with bigger budgets. This tiny indie film is by far and easy his greatest movie! The lead was male with Sean Gullette as Maximillian Cohen, a totally paranoid mathematician but again featured image today is a female again so is his caring next door neighbor…

It’s Samia Shoaib as Devi in the Pi movie, oh yeah it was a black & white film toooo!
